Stoicism, which emphasizes self-control and focusing on things that can be controlled, is considered relevant in the context of University, especially in overcoming academic challenges and digital distractions. This research involved 100 students divided into two groups: an experimental group (n=50) that received Stoicism training and a control group (n=50) that did not receive any intervention. The assessed aspects included intrinsic motivation, extrinsic motivation, time management, task completion consistency, and the ability to resist distractions. The results of the study showed that the experimental group experienced significant improvements in all analyzed aspects, with higher average score changes compared to the control group. Regression analysis showed a p-value < 0.001 for most aspects, indicating that the Stoicism intervention had a significant impact on increasing learning motivation and self-discipline. These findings affirm that the application of Stoicism can be an effective approach to enhancing students' academic performance. Therefore, it is recommended that University institutions consider integrating Stoic programs into their curricula or support services to promote students' personal and professional development in the challenging digital era.
Paisal Ansiska Copyright (c) 2024 Paisal Ansiska https://www.ejournal.insightmediatama.co.id/jglt/article/view/2 Sat, 20 Apr 2024 00:00:00 +0000 Blockchain Revolution in Education: Enhancing Security and Transparency in Geospatial Data Management for a Sustainable Learning Ecosystem https://www.ejournal.insightmediatama.co.id/jglt/article/view/3
This study examines the application of blockchain technology in the education sector, with a particular focus on geospatial data management. However, social changes and technological advances have affected how students access and understand information, so the relevance of national historical narratives in contemporary education needs to be reviewed. This research aims to conduct a comprehensive literature review on practical approaches to integrating national historical narratives into contemporary education in Indonesia. The method used was content analysis of relevant literature, including journal articles, books, and research reports published in the last ten years. The analysis results show that the narrative approach, the use of digital technology, and the relevance of the material to students' lives significantly impact students' understanding and engagement in learning history. The narrative approach that connects historical events with students' personal experiences is proven to improve their memory and interest. Digital technology also plays a role in making learning more dynamic and engaging. However, successful implementation of this approach depends on curriculum adjustments and teacher training. This research suggests curriculum revision that is more relevant to students' lives and increased use of technology in history teaching to improve the effectiveness of history education in Indonesia.
Sem Touwe, Rendy Wahyu Satriyo Putro, Tama Maysuri Copyright (c) 2024 Sem Touwe, Rendy Wahyu Satriyo Putro, Tama Maysuri https://www.ejournal.insightmediatama.co.id/jglt/article/view/5 Wed, 24 Apr 2024 00:00:00 +0000 Literature Analysis: Strengthening the Competence of Horticulture Students through Community-Based Learning Methods https://www.ejournal.insightmediatama.co.id/jglt/article/view/6
Community-based learning (CBL) has become one of the growing approaches in higher education, especially in the field of horticulture. It gives students the opportunity to be directly involved in projects involving local communities, allowing them to apply the theories learned in the classroom to complex real-life situations. Through PFS, students gain not only theoretical knowledge but also practical skills that are essential in the world of work. However, the application of PFS in horticultural education faces challenges, including the gap between community needs and existing curriculum structures. This imbalance can reduce the effectiveness of PFS in achieving educational goals. Therefore, there is a need for better integration between the academic curriculum and community needs, as well as support from the government and relevant institutions. This support includes the provision of adequate resources, supportive policies, and sufficient funding to ensure that PFS can be implemented sustainably and deliver optimal outcomes for students and communities. In addition, it is important to strengthen collaboration between universities and local stakeholders to bridge the gap between theory and practice so that education can provide maximum benefits for all parties involved.
Indriati Meilina Sari, Kiky Nurfitri Sari Copyright (c) 2024 Indriati Meilina Sari, Kiky Nurfitri Sari https://www.ejournal.insightmediatama.co.id/jglt/article/view/6 Thu, 25 Apr 2024 00:00:00 +0000 Maintaining Integrity in the Digital World: The Role of Theological Education in Student Character Building https://www.ejournal.insightmediatama.co.id/jglt/article/view/7
In the rapidly evolving digital era, university students' moral and ethical challenges are becoming increasingly complex. Digital technology, while facilitating access to information, also opens opportunities for unethical behavior, such as plagiarism and misuse of social media. This study aims to analyze the role of theological education in shaping student character, particularly in addressing ethical challenges in the digital age. The method used is a systematic literature review, encompassing the analysis of various academic sources related to theological education, integrity, and digital ethical challenges. The findings indicate that theological education effectively instills moral and ethical values, especially when the teaching approach combines theory with relevant practical applications. However, this effectiveness largely depends on the quality of teaching and the relevance of the material to students' everyday lives. In conclusion, well-designed theological education that integrates practical learning methods and an understanding of the digital context can help students develop strong integrity in facing ethical dilemmas in the digital era. This study suggests that higher education institutions should update their theology curricula to be more relevant to students' contemporary challenges in the digital world.
Gerald Latuserimala Copyright (c) 2024 Gerald Latuserimala https://www.ejournal.insightmediatama.co.id/jglt/article/view/7 Fri, 26 Apr 2024 00:00:00 +0000
